Here's a quote from a book called Just Listen:

"Because a song can take you back instantly to a moment, or a place, or even a person. No matter what else has changed in you or the world, that one song stays the same, just like that moment."

Hey guys, I just wanted to invite you all to join the Flyleaf Street Team. As a member you'll get to help promote the band by advertising them online, passing out SWAG on the streets, and much more. You'll also have the chance to earn really cool prizes and participate in contests exclusive to Street Team members.

All right, before I get into what this post is about, let me just say that I cannot believe no one has posted anything about Skillet's new album! It is called "Awake" and it is amazing. The sound doesn't really stray far from "Comatose", but all the lyrics are nice and refreshing, especially songs like "Forgiven" and "Never Surrender" that are about God taking over. It's great. While I do not own a copy, I downloaded all the songs off limewire w00t!

Okay, now, my cousin is in a Christian Rock band (it's really a Christian Screamo band) (he's the lead singer/screamer) called Llymbo. Without being biased and with being honest I think they are a really great band. (Even if Dick wasn't my cousin, I love that kind of music and am always looking for new Christian Screamo bands). They played at Power FM's birthday bash this year, and Power FM is playing them more frequently. Their latest song is called "Bloodshed". Why don't you guys give them a listen and tell me what you think.

A program that was made to help out bands when they go out on the road and play shows and such. If you'd like to check out the program just check out the widget below. Thank you for your time :).

The Band of the week

A little about -THE FRAY-

The Fray is a Grammy Award-nominated four-piece piano rock band. Formed in 2002 by schoolmates Isaac Slade and Joe King, the Denver-based group released their debut album How to Save a Life in 2005. The band is best known for the song "How to Save a Life", which charted in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 and was also a top 5 single in Canada, Australia, Ireland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The Fray also found national success with the song "Over My Head (Cable Car)", which became a top ten hit in the United States and Canada. How to Save a Life was certified double platinum by the RIAA and was also certified platinum in Australia and New Zealand. The Fray recently signed on for the 2008/2009 year as an ambassador for VH1's Save The Music Foundation. They performed at the American Music Awards on November 23, 2008.
